TSD has been providing learning and training in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) for over two decades. Our classes are structured to facilitate a systematic approach of learning technique and tactics, based in the study of historic swordplay.

Mechanics and form set the foundations for applications in all areas of martial combat. We focus on providing those foundations for new and experienced students alike, developing our knowledge of why things work, not just how.

For over two decades, Tattershall has been instrumental in providing translations of historical fencing treatises as well as teaching fundamental in rapier, longsword and unarmed combat, among other interests, including sword & buckler, singlestick, saber, dusack, and harnesfecten (armored combat).
